Incidents
The specific cases inside the loop. Each one is a single thing that happened, documented in its own page.
- [origin] This didn't start in Vienna. It started in childhood. I was already living this mismatch before Austria. Here, the consequences became impossible to absorb.
- [study] I had to stop studying. I was exhausted. Five years of a technical degree. I understood the material. The system didn't adjust.
- [work] I've applied to over 542 jobs in eight years. Interviews go well, then silence. No email, no explanation.
- [residency] My residency was refused for having no income. "If you can study, why can't you work?" In the same Bescheid that acknowledged my limitations.
- [assessment] I tried to get my disability recognized. I was refused three times, including at court level. A 25-minute neurologist exam overruled a hospital that has treated me for ten years.
- [organizations] I couldn't find a single organization that could help. Every office I reached read the file, agreed something was wrong, and said: not us, try somewhere else.
- [organizations] I spent two months contacting bodies for fairness, inclusion, and human rights. Most did not answer.
- [organizations] "We are just an index." The autism centre: we don't offer therapy, here is a list of phone numbers.
- [therapy] Two months later, the answer is still a list. July 2026. I said things were getting harder. A hospital handed me a list of doctors; the recommended one is not specialized in autism.
- [social] I struggle to talk to people, and there is no way back. A misunderstanding used to be where repair started. Now blocking takes one second and leaves no door open.
- [diagnosis] Ten years in treatment before autism had a name. The assessment recorded that I was overwhelmed and that my concentration was normal, in the same paragraph.
- [social] I'm struggling to build a social life here. First impression is everything in Vienna. The eleven-year context can't be delivered in two exchanges.
- [health] How unexpected damage happens when you're neurodivergent. The medications keeping me functional are also breaking down my body. €5,000 dental in two months.
- [daily life] Even getting one medication is work. Four hours to fill a five-year-old prescription. Multiply by every small thing.
- [system] The Help Exists on Paper. In Reality, You're on Your Own. Organizations, therapy, support systems, they all exist. Until you actually need them.
- [assessment] 80 Hours of Care Approved. Disability Pass Denied. Same Person. Two official assessments of the same person, using the same records, ten weeks apart. Opposite conclusions.
